HTML and CSS are the fastest part of web development to get useful at, and 30 days is plenty to build real pages. This plan is 33 hours, close to an hour a day. You start by making pages in the browser, learn the layout tools that trip everyone up (the box model, Flexbox, Grid), then add motion with CSS animations so your pages feel finished. This is the one plan on the site where a month genuinely gets you to a usable skill, because the surface area is small and visual.

This plan is 33 hours of free courses spread across 30 days. That works out to about 1.1 hours a day, or roughly 7.7 hours a week if you prefer to batch it. Miss a day and you make it up on the weekend; the point is a pace you can actually keep.

Why this set, and what we left out
We chose Google's Web Fundamentals for the middle stretch because its layout and responsive coverage is stronger than most free intros. We left The Odin Project's 40-hour Foundations out of the 30-day plan: it folds JavaScript into the same path, so it is better suited to someone committing to the full web-developer track rather than someone who wants HTML and CSS specifically. CSS animations go last because motion is the reward, not the foundation.
The honest catch
You will be able to build and style pages, but not make them interactive: that is JavaScript's job. A styled page with no behavior is where this plan stops. Pair it with the 30-day JavaScript plan to round out the front end.
