Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) are small pieces of data stored by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember things between page loads or visits.

How we use them

We group the storage we use into two categories.

Strictly necessary

One localStorage entry, fcc-cookie-consent, remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics so we do not re-show the banner. It contains only the value accepted or rejected and is not shared with any third party.

Analytics (optional)

If you accept, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. These typically expire after up to two years. If you reject, these cookies are not set and the Google Analytics script is not loaded.

Third-party cookies on outbound clicks

When you click an outbound link to a course platform, that platform may set its own cookies under its own policy. We have no control over those.

Changing your choice

To change your consent, clear site data for FreeCodingCourses.com in your browser (Settings → Privacy → Site data → FreeCodingCourses.com). The banner will appear again on your next visit so you can choose differently.

You can also block analytics globally using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or your browser’s tracking-protection settings.
