Free Ruby Courses

Ruby's free catalog here is small and opinionated: both courses come from The Odin Project, which is one of the best places to learn Ruby for free anywhere. Start with Ruby Programming, an eighty-hour beginner track that teaches the language by building real projects instead of watching lectures, the approach Odin is known for. Once the fundamentals are solid, the Full Stack Ruby on Rails Path is the natural next step, and it's a serious one: roughly two hundred hours covering Rails, databases, authentication, and deploying an app end to end. Be realistic about the commitment before you start, because this is a months-long path, not a weekend. Ruby's main draw in 2026 is Rails, which still runs a lot of web startups, so learn it if a Rails job or your own web app is the goal, not as a general first language.
